Before laser eye surgery, I could not clearly see the large letter at the top of the eye chart. I had worn glasses since the third grade and my eyes had been plagued by infections ever since converting to contacts. My doctor consulted me on the two options of laser surgery that were available. I chose Photorefractive Keratectomy over Lasik because I did not want the slightest possibility of my active lifestyle leading to a dislocation of the cornea flap.
