ActiveSight was formed in 2003 with the goal of making structural biology, an important tool in proteomics and drug discovery, accessible. ActiveSight has established itself as the premier partner for structure-based drug design, working with over 30 pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Currently, ActiveSight is focusing on the creation of value by applying our expertise to the discovery of novel lead small molecules. In addition, ActiveSight is an active participant in the research community, working with world class institutions and foundations in the pursuit of improving drug discovery methodology and curing human disease.

A division of Rigaku Americas Corporation, ActiveSight is located in San Diego. The 10,500 square foot laboratory/office facility is shared with Molecular Images, Rigaku's premier crystallographic structure determination software division, and is a demonstration site for Rigaku equipment.
