What is IGF1-LR3

IGF1-LR3

IGF1-LR3 is a polypeptide that possesses a lot of the same qualities as insulin. In fact, IGF actually stands for insulin-like growth factor. IGF1-LR3. This particular peptide is known for its effect on bone growth.See this article to get more updates.

There have been plenty of studies involving this popular peptide. One of these studies, conducted by Lund University Hospital, involved a continuous application of IGF1-LR3 with a mini pump. The focus of application was on a healing bone callus on a rabbit’s tibia. Results showed that this reduced the mineral turnover rate. However, it showed no change in the amount of bone mineral. It was concluded that these bone mineral levels were already optimized for proper healing.

In addition to this, muscle growth can also be affected by IGF1-LR3, as shown in a study conducted by the University of Sao Paulo. Bone and muscle growth was study in rats who underwent applications of IGF1-LR3 and the results showed that this insulin-like substance promotes a reduced secretion of the anabolic hormones as well as lower synthesis of proteoglycans. This change lead to an impairment of total body growth and the growth of the tissues that were analyzed.

Another study, conducted by the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, showed that this insulin-like peptide can establish normal body and organ size. However, overuse or uncontrolled use of IGF1-LR3 can lead to pathological conditions.

There is still much to learn about IGF1-LR3 and studies will continue to take place. With mixed results, it is difficult to say how this peptide may be utilized in the future and whether or not it will be available for humans to use.
